As a matter of fact...

The Bible teaches us the truth, but how do we know. Actually, before coming to the Church of God, I did not believe the Bible. I thought that the Bible was made by man and that there was nothing that man could do that would be infallible. The more that I studied the Truth that Christ Ahnsahnghong has taught us, the more I learned that the Bible is absolute. It is through the prophesies that I, as an unbeliever quasi agnostic-buddhist at that time, was able to see that the Bible could not have been made by mere human hands. The prophets were guided by the hand of God! (2 Peter 2:19-21).

A prime example of this is seen through King Cyrus, an important Historical and Biblical figure.

Isaiah 45:1-3
1. "This is what the Lord says to his anointed,
to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of
to subdue nations before him
and to strip kings of their armor,
to open doors before him so that gates will not be shut:
2. I will go before you and will level the mountains;
I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron.
I will give you the treasure of darkness, riches store in secret places,
so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel,
who summons you by name.

The prophet Isaiah lived around 700BC, but King Cyrus (also know as "Cyrus the Great") lived around 530BC. God already spoke through Isaiah, circa 170 years before, that Cyrus would conquer Babylon and "break down gates of bronze". King Cyrus did not believe in God at first, but after he found out that his reign was prophesied in the scriptures, he freed the Israelites from Babylonian slavery, to let them go and build a temple to God in Jerusalem. (2 Chronicles 36:22-23, Ezra 1:1-4).

There are so many more prophesies like this one. One of my favorites is in Daniel...
